Virginia Ayers

Whittier, NC - Virginia Ayers, age 99, of Whittier, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013. She was born in Highland Park, MI, the daughter of the late Harold and Eva Hornsby Fredericks. She was married for 62 years to Robert F. Ayers, who died in 2000. She had worked as a head teller in a bank.

She is survived by a daughter, Fay Switzer of Amboy, IN, a son, Bob Ayers and his wife Shannon of Whittier, NC; four grandchildren, Becky Baier, David Baier, Matthew Ayers and Bryan Ayers; three great grandchildren, Brynn, Jenna and Emily.

Services and burial will be held later in Ellenton, FL.
