Virginia Berry Dills

Mrs. Virginia Dare Berry Dills, 87, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026.

Mrs. Dills was born January 17, 1939, in Macon County, NC to the late William Jack Berry, Sr. and Annie Gertrude Coggins Berry.

Mrs. Virginia worked and retired from CR Industries and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was a seamstress, loved crocheting, quilting, working in her flower garden, but most of loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Mr. Isaac P. Dills; a daughter, Cynthia D. Keener (Tommy); and a son, Larry Isaac Dills (Glenda); four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dills was preceded in death by her siblings, Laura Hedden, Edlay Pruitt, Marie Hedden, Elmyria Hedden, Martha Dowdle, Mattie Devlin, William A Berry, William J. Berry, William Jack Berry, Jr, and William Edward Berry.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 23, 2026, in the Grant Chapel with the Rev. Greg Rogers and Rev. Jamie Passmore officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in the Goldmine community. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
