Virginia Nicholson Mcconnell

Grayson, GA - Virginia Nicholson McConnell, age 85, of Grayson, GA passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA. She was born in Sheridan, WY the daughter of the late Thomas Wylie Nicholson, Sr and Velma Henderson Nicholson. She was a member of Stone Mountain First United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she loved gardening. She was a 1947 graduate of Webster High School and attended Blantons Business College.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Teddy R. McConnell; her daughter, Beverly McConnell of Grayson, GA; her son, Jerry McConnell and his wife Mary Beth of Gainesville, GA; a sister, Ralphine Blanton of Sylva, NC ; a brother, Tommy Nicholson of Webster, NC; three grandchildren, Chris, Scott and Jenna McConnell.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. David Beam officiating. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 14 from 2:00 3:00PM, one hour prior to service at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
