Walter Joseph Deptola

Walter Joseph Deptola, II, 87, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021. He was born in Long Island, NY September 9, 1934 to the late Walter J. Deptola, Sr. and Mary Deptola. Walter was an Army Veteran. He worked in the School System where he retired, he was a lace weaver, loved cars, motorcycles, taking care of his property and most of all loved his family. Walter was a New York native but later moved to NC. He was of the Roman Catholic faith.

Walter is survived by his son, Walter Joseph Deptola, III (Koren) of Long Island, NY; two daughters, Annise D. Fleckenstein of Otto, NC, Gina Deptola Coryell (Robert) of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Danee Kidd, Tuckerman Fleckenstein, Irene Coryell, Rebecca Coryell, Matthew Deptola, and Jake Deptola;  two great grandchildren, Robert Joseph Nolan and Ayla Kidd.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Deptola is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Deptola and a daughter, Cynthia (Bella) Deptola.

A memorial service will be held in the Spring of the year in Franklin, NC.
