Walter Ray Hensley

Franklin, NC - Walter Ray Hensley, age 59, of Rabun Gap, GA, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013. He was born in Jackson County, NC, the son of the late Gordon Clay Hensley and Evelyn Lucille Massie Hensley. He was a carpenter and a Baptist by faith, and was a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by a daughter, Tabitha Rene' Hensley Miller of Pueblo, Colorado; a son, Travis Ray Hensley of Franklin, NC; a sister, Brenda Speed of Clayton, GA; five brothers, C. L. Hensley, Steve Hensley, Ronnie Hensley and Roger Hensley all of Franklin, NC and March Hensley of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
