William "Bill" Neil Overocker

Mr. William "Bill" Neil Overocker, age 75, of Franklin, NC passed away July 17, 2025. William was born November 4, 1949, to the late Frank Overocker and Ruth Seymoure Overocker and in Franklin Lakes, NJ.

Mr. Overocker loved to fish and enjoyed working on cars, tractors, and boats. He also liked to watch westerns and attend the Franklin Panthers Football games. William graduated from Seton Hall University, where he also worked as an EMS trainer. While living in New Jersey he owned a snow plowing business. Mr. Overocker served as first responder during the events of September 11, 2001, in New York City.

William is survived by his brother, James (Donna) Overocker; his nephews, John Overocker and William Greenwald; his niece, Francine (Scott) Barnhill; and his close friends, Nicole McCray and her son, Jack, as well as the Sayer Family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Overocker was preceded in death by many aunts and uncles.
