William R. "Widge" Fouts

Triangle VA - William Roland "Widge" Fouts, 93, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, and goes forth to join his beloved wife Muriel, daughter Aldora and grandson Ian.

He was born in Franklin, N.C., and resided most of his life in Triangle. A 32nd Degree Mason in the Quantico Masonic Lodge, he retired from civil service with the U.S. government. He was a kind man with strong family values and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He leaves behind many that love him, including daughters Donna Lee Wheeler and her husband, Jim, and Barbara Ann Rountrey and her husband, Eddie; grandchildren Richard Murren and his wife, Kristy, Jason Wheeler and his wife, Sonya, and James Rountrey and the angel that took such good care of him in his last months, Sherry Poole; eight great-grandchildren, Dustin, Devin, Macy, Olivia, Mackenzie, Owen, Elsa and Louis; and two great-great-grandchildren, Davyn and Dylan.

William R. Fouts was also survived by two siblings, Doris Lynch and Merritt Fouts, both of Franklin, N.C.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25. A service will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home & Crematory, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA 22193.
