Willie Mae (Carter) Giddes

Willie Mae Giddes, 84, of Franklin passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. She was born in Horry County, SC to the late Woodrow Wilson Carter and Eva Gore Carter. She was co‑owner, along with her husband, of a construction company.

Mrs. Giddes was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She loved to sew and garden. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Irving Giddes; daughter, Patricia A. Vinson (Scott) of Franklin; grandchildren, Tiffany Nicole Giddes and Olivia Ann Vinson and brother, Tommy Ray Carter (Deanna) of Longs, SC.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Irving Bruce Giddes who died in 2002 and a sister, Bonnie Faye Carter.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
