Willie Mae Tallent Roper

Franklin - Willie Mae Tallent Roper, age 89, of Franklin passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at her residence. She was born May 29, 1924 in Jackson County to the late John and Nancy Pickens Griffin. She was first married to Samuel Eugene Tallent who passed away in 1983, second to R. L. Roper who passed away in 2010. She was a homemaker and a member of Windy Gap Baptist Church. She liked gardening, canning and freezing.

She is survived by a stepson, Ronnie Roper and wife Loretta of Franklin, brother-in-law C. B. Roper and wife Marilyn of Franklin, four step grandchildren, Krystal, Kasey, Troy and Kaitlynn Roper and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM,Tuesday, July 2nd at Windy Gap Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Lloyd Fish officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. The family will recieve friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday evening, July 1st at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
