Wm. Nelson Cabe

Franklin - William Nelson Cabe, age 94, of the Mulberry Community, Otto, NC passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. He was a native of Macon County, the son of the late Lenzy and Mary Ledford Cabe. He was married to Emily Ruth Adams Cabe who passed away in 2007. He was a US WWII Army Veteran where he served in the Panama Canal Zone and Aleutian Islands. He was a truck driver for Vinson Feed and Seed of Dillard, GA He liked farming and haying. He was a member of the Newman Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Patsy C. Kelly and her partner in life, Hartley Watkins of Otto, NC and his son, Dennis Cabe and wife Kathy of Smyrna, SC; his brother, Arvil Cabe of Rabun Gap, GA; grandchildren, Tonia Kelly McRary and husband, Johnathan, Ray Kelly and Lenzy Kelly; great-grandchildren, Logan and Ian McRary, William & Emily Kelly. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Speed and two brothers, Russell Cabe and Elvin Cabe.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Dendy and Rev. Danny Cannon officiating. Burial will be held at Newman Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 13 from 6:00-8:00PM at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at 501 Mulberry Road in Otto.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Angel Hospice General Fund, 170 Church Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
