Obituary

Mr. Albert " Woody" Long, Jr. passed away July 29, 2022. Mr. Long was born in Lakeland, Fl February 5, 1944 to the late Albert Woodrow Long, Sr. and Marion S. Long. He was of the Baptist faith. Woody and Margaret moved to Franklin in 1987. They owned and Operated Long Power Equipment for many years. Woody was best known for being one of the best chainsaw sharpeners in Macon, Co. He loved to sit outside in his swing and watch nature. 

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Margaret S. Long of the home; two sons, Woody M. Long and his wife, Gayle of Hubert, NC and William Z Long     and his wife, Crystal of Franklin, NC; five grandchildren, Brad, Kelli, Blair, Alex, and Jake; several great- grandchildren; and a brother, David S. Long of Franklin. 

In addition to his parents Woody is preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Mosco and a sister-in-law, Terry Long. 

The family will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 4-6 pm at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home & Crematory.
