Annie Belle Smith 85, of Franklin, NC passed away January 10, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Rabun County, Georgia. Annie Belle was born December 29, 1934 in Macon County to the late Fred and Lucinda Jennings Kirkland. She enjoyed gardening, loved her children, grandchildren and talking to people. She was a sewer and homemaker. She served the Baptist faith.

Annie Belle is survived by her five daughters; Virgie Runion, Iva Jean Smith, Emma Jean Smith, Amanda Ramsey and Melissa Burch. Four sisters; Louise Hurst, Dorothy Reddish, Annie Shephard and Ethel Walker. Two brothers; Willie Hovis and Wiley Kirkland. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Annie is preceded in death by her husband, Booker Smith; a son Robert Smith, a daughter Lillie Mae McCall. Two brothers, Floyd Kirkland and Leroy Kirkland. Three sisters, Rosa Lee Russell, Nancy Russell and Cordelia Russell.

The family will announce a memorial service at a later date.
