Betty Cheryl (Lawwill) Senften

Betty Cheryl Senften passed away on December 28, 2023, at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Betty was 77 years old at her time of death. She was born in Middletown, Ohio and married Thomas Charles Senften and they celebrated 57 years of marriage. Betty and Thomas had three sons, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

She loved God, family, coffee, and cooking. She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and held an important position as Assistant Director in Human Resources at Aeronca Aerospace Company in Middletown, Ohio for many years prior to retiring. In her retirement years, Betty moved with family to Charleston, SC and then to Franklin, NC. She loved to spend time playing with her great grandchildren and shopping with her girls. Betty loved nature, bird watching, and puzzles in her spare time. She opened her heart and her home to young people who needed a place to stay and someone to love them. Her grace and style will always be remembered by those that are close to her.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, Dempsey Lawwill, her mother Dorothy Lawwill, and her sister Linda Horne. Betty is survived by her husband Thomas Senften, her sisters Bonnie Klapper and Debbie Schrote, her sons Charles Senften, Michael Senften and Jason Senften. Betty is survived by her grand children Elizabeth Senften, Christa Senften, Lauren Senften, Stephen Senften, Lara Senften, Savannah Senften, Sierra Senften, Bailey Senften and Ava Senften and her great grandchildren Jason, Emma, Kora, Gwendolyn, and Justin Michael.

A private memorial will be held at a later date by invitation only for family and close friends.
