Bob Holbrooks

Mr. Bob Holbrooks, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020. Mr. Holbrooks was born in Macon County, NC on August 25, 1930 to the late Jessie Sloan Holbrooks and Beedie Icenhower Holbrooks.

Mr. Bob was a master of all trades and he worked very hard for his family.  He loved to build things, mow grass, hunt, and fish.  He was also of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Jane Holbrooks of the home; five children, Rita Weyh (Michael), Bobby Michael Holbrooks (Cindy), Tim Holbrooks (Linda), Tony Holbrooks (Kim), and Lisa Holbrooks Francisco (Matthew) all of Franklin, NC; and a son-in-law, John Hurst of Franklin, NC; a brother, Bill Holbrooks of Franklin, NC; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents Mr. Holbrooks was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Holbrooks Hurst; two sisters, Faye Dowdle and Marie Mason; and a brother, Dillard Holbrooks.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2020 in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Wolfrey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Cowee Baptist Church Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Timothy Holbrooks, Adam Holbrooks, Jacob Doster, Tony Holbrooks, Tim Holbrooks, and Mike Holbrooks.
