Charles "Danny" Daniel Sherrill

Mr. Charles Daniel “Danny” Sherrill, 77, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019. Mr. Sherrill was born in Swain County September 5, 1941 to the late Lewis Edwin Sherrill and Jacqueline Hall Sherrill.

Mr. Sherrill worked and retired from the A&P Grocery after 20 years and then went into telephone work until he retired again. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, and tubing with his kids and grandkids at Deep Creek. He was a member of the Macon County Coon Hunters Association and a member of Prentiss Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Hall Sherrill of the home; two daughters, Terrie Kendrick (Clyde) and Deidrea Dills (Richard) all of Franklin, NC; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Dills Sherrill of Blairsville, GA; four grandsons; four granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Elaine Rohr of Columbia, SC; and a brother, Rev. Edwin Sherrill of Bryson City, NC.

Mr. Sherrill was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles Lewis “Charlie” Sherrill; and a sister, Beverly Sherrill.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Clyde Kendrick, Richard Dills, Seth Dills, Danny Camp,Doug Cheek, and Zach Sherrill.
