Daniel “Danny” Boyd Coffeen, 68, of Highlands, North Carolina sadly and unexpectedly left this world Saturday, January 21st, 2023, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Lund Coffeen and Bettye Jane Coffeen, of Highlands. Danny was a Navy Veteran who loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He left behind two sons Jesse Coffeen and Lee Coffeen, three grandchildren, Ben Sullivan, Eliza Mae Coffeen, and Beatrix Avery Coffeen, two loving sisters Debra Coffeen and Diane Sackman, as well as nieces Britany and Allie Sackman, Ashlie Mitchell, and nephews Adam Sackman and Robbie Wilson. In his later years Danny enjoyed a quiet retirement in the mountains, doting on his grandchildren, taking hikes with his sisters, or watching games and talking sports with his sons. As per Danny’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. His ashes will be spread privately by family at his favorite beach and fishing spot.
