Edward "Ed" Lynn Nixon

Edward “Ed” Lynn Nixon, age 67, passed away after a brief bout with lung cancer on Sunday, July 4, 2021.  He was a resident of Franklin, NC, having relocated from the Charlotte area 17 years ago.

He was born in Ohio and moved to Florida as a young man, before making his home in North Carolina.

Ed enjoyed bass fishing, working in his garden, and was a master at remodeling homes. He recently completed the building of his and his wife’s mountain dream home in Franklin.

Ed was the owner of Ed Nixon Construction and enjoyed working with his many loyal customers over the years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Lastition, father, Richard Nixon, and brother, Bruce Nixon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathy Nixon; son Ed Nixon Jr., his wife Nancy, and their two sons, Drew and Grey; son Ben Nixon, and his two daughters Kendell and Taylor.  

At Ed’s request, no service will be held.
