Elaine Wilson 3/2/36-6/21/20
Elaine was born March 2, 1936 to Dewey and Evelyn Cleaveland Hopper and raised in Highlands, NC. She married the love of her life, Morris Wilson, in 1954. Elaine held various jobs outside the home, but the one that gave her the most pleasure and fulfillment was as a minister's wife and church pianist. She was a devoted and loving mother to Gay (& Dave) Hunter, Budd (& Becky) Wilson, Mike (& Linda) Wilson, John Wilson, and George (& Julie) Wilson. Survivors include 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and one recent great-great grandson. Being an only child her dear in-laws were loved like brothers and sisters: Kathleen Wilson, Joe and Norman Wilson, Steve and JoElla Wilson, Barbara and Bill Drodsik and lifelong friend Emily Houston. Preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Evelyn Cleaveland Hopper, her beloved husband of 64 years, Morris Wilson, brothers and sister in law Neville Wilson, Duane and Gerone Wilson. She has joined Morris and her beloved son John to stroll over Heaven, where their troubles and heartaches have vanished away. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Clear Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Clear Creek Community Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Tommy James, Kelly Dendy, Austin Reece, Charles Reid, John Munger, and Seth Schmitt.
