Eugene Dean

Mr. Eugene Dean, 80, of Franklin, NC passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024. Mr. Dean was born July 24, 1943, in Macon, Co NC to the late John H. Dean and Lessie Ammons Dean.

Mr. Dean worked for various contractors and supervised the burial of telephone cable all around Western North Carolina and Northern Georgia, before retiring. Eugene loved his family and enjoyed fishing. 

Survivors include a son, Johnathan Dean of Franklin.

In addition to his parents Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann “Libby Ann” Dean; two sisters, Lolita A. Dean and Annie Ruth Dean Cabe; and two brothers, Dale Jarrett Dean and Ralph Dean. 

A private graveside service will be held at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery where Mr. Dean will be laid to rest.
