Freddie Webb, 69, of Highlands passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021. He was born August 26, 1952 in Macon County to the late Richard Webb and Doris Gibson Webb. Freddie worked for Highlands Country Club for 38 years in the maintenance department. He was a wonderful carpenter and in his spare time would saw lumber. Playing corn hole, fishing and hunting were some of his favorite hobbies. Freddie attended Flats of Middle Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Freddie is survived by his wife, Linda McCall Webb; a son, James Frederick Webb of Asheville; a daughter, Francis Webb of Highlands; step daughter, Miranda Holt (Jamie) of Sky Valley, GA; a sister, June Henry (Kent) of Franklin; a brother, Johnny Webb (Josephine) of Franklin; two grandchildren, Monique Webb and Emily Green; two great grandchildren, Chloe Potts and Isaiah Naquin; step grandchildren, Braeden Cleghorn, Tom Holt and Sally Holt.
In addition to his parents Freddie is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Jenkins Webb; and four brothers, Bill Webb, David Webb, Randy Webb, and James Webb.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm, Monday August 30, 2021 at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marty Kilby and Rev. Randy Reed officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery in Highlands, NC.
Pallbearers are Burt Zachary, Matthew McCall, Bobby Jenkins, William Passmore, Justin Passmore, David Carver, and Tom Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be Kent Henry, Grant Zachary, Danny Chastain and Jonathan McCall.
