Harold Neely Obituary

Harold Neville Neely, 73 of Highlands, NC passed away Monday, May 9, 2022. He was born November 19, 1948 in Rabun County, Georgia to the late Harry Preston Neely and Carrie Dendy Neely. Harold always had a smile when you saw him that followed with a good story or joke and was always willing to help others out. He had a love for dogs, collecting rocks and quartz, guitar music and wearing his western boots. Harold had worked as a computer programmer at Western Carolina University. He was a member of Highlands First Baptist Church.

Harold is survived by his son Matthew Neely (Sarah); three nieces, Lynn O'Dwyer, Stephanie Norris and Gloria Neely. 

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Neely; a granddaughter, Marigold Neely; a brother, Herman Neely.

A funeral service will be at 11:00am Wednesday May 11, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Highlands with the Rev. Dr. Mark Ford officiating. Burial will follow at the Macedonia Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00pm-8:00pm Tuesday May 10, 2022 at Bryant Grant Funeral Home & Crematory.
