Mr. Harry "Junior" Clayton Stoudemire, Jr. 83, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He was born July 28, 1940, at Biltmore Estate to the late Harry Clayton Stoudemire, Sr. and Lila Bell Seay Stoudemire.
Mr. Stoudemire was a member of Memorial Methodist Church. He retired as transportation director for Macon County schools and operated Stoudemire Market for twenty plus years. Junior loved camping, fishing, hunting, dancing and racing. He also loved his grandkids and family, and his K-9 special friend, "Knox".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Edith Sheffield Stoudemire, who died in 2022, and a sister, Mary Ellen Blaine.
He is survived by two sons, Rickey Stoudemire (Danita) and Randy Stoudemire (Michelle); grandchildren, Natasha Boatwright (Broc), Trance Stoudemire, Tyler Stoudemire, Kirkland Stoudemire (Jagger Tomkins); seven great-grandchildren, Landon Malloy, Baylie Boatwright, Axle Boatwright, Bentley Boatwright and Chevelle Boatwright, Wrenleigh Tomkins and Kingsleigh Tomkins; and a sister, Edna Earl Gibson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Pastor Eddie Brewer officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 till 11:00AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
