Franklin, NC - Hermie Moffitt Dills, age 93, of Franklin, NC, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015. She was a native of Macon County, daughter of the late Lawrence and Bertha Ledford Moffitt. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Evelyn Clark of Easley, SC, Gail Payne and husband Sam Payne, Pat Cook and one son, Danny M. Cook of Franklin, NC. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, sisters, Anna Lee Shope and Ida Lee Thomas and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred R. Dills of 16 years. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband Willliam (Bill) Cook, granddaughter, Angela Joye Bates, grandson Jim Clark, sisters, Nina Sanders, Nellie Stamey, Ethel Thomas and brothers Roy, Ervin, Leonard and Ernest Moffitt.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 15th at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Josh Brooks and Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Moffitt, Joel Sanders, Ray Thomas, Russ Odell, Bobby Dills, Eddie Astling and Cody Rogers.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
