James Mitchell Brown

James Mitchell Brown, 72, of Highlands, NC and Coral Springs, Fl. passed away July 20, 2021. James was born in California on September 28, 1948, to the late Maurice Brown and Helen O’Connell Brown.

James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Arbuthnot Brown; children, Courtney McConnell (Nathan) and Lauren Blake (Paul); grandchildren, Shanley, Faith, Tiarnan and Elisabet McConnell, Harrison, Noah, Hadassah and Valor Blake; a brother, Gordon Brown (Karen), brother-in-law, Gordon Arbuthnot (Allyson); several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday July 28, 2021, at Community Bible Church, 3645 Cashiers Road, Highlands, NC 28741, with the Dr. Gary Hewing officiating. The family will fellowship with friends following the service. A livestream service will be available through Community Bible Church at www.cbchighlands.com/live and also from their Facebook page.
