Linda Henderson Morrow, 77, of Franklin, NC, died April 2, 2023 at Angel Hospital under Hospice care.
She was the daughter of the late Lester Calhoun and Adeline Teague Henderson. In addition, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Max Henderson, Charles Henderson and Con Henderson.
Linda graduated from Franklin High School in 1963. She attended Weslyn College in Macon, Georgia and graduated from W. C. U. in 1967 with a degree in education. She was employed as a Field Advisor for the Girl Scouts of America. Linda was very active in scouting throughout high school and enjoyed this. A teaching position became available at East Franklin Elementary School. She taught there for 30 years, until her retirement in 2001.
Linda was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church and attended regularly. She enjoyed arts and crafts and has a large collection of dolls of many she made. She also loved baking cookies for family and friends during the holidays. She volunteered many hours at the Scottish Tartan Museum representing the Henderson Clan. Linda was a very loving person. Often she would see a former student and give them a big hug. She and her husband looked forward to vacationing with Sam and Patti McClure annually. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gene R. Morrow, a daughter, Elizabeth Anne Thomason and son, Robert Rafe Morrow; a big sister, JoAnn "Jodie" Henderson, all of Macon County. Several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Burial was held at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Bryant-Grant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
