Margaret Louise (Thompson) Sams

Margaret Louise Sams, 72, of Franklin, NC formerly of Venice, FL and National Park, NJ passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015.  Born in Woodbury, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Thompson.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert Sams of Franklin, NC; children: Dona and husband Brett Brooks of Venice, FL, Rita Catlette of Sarasota, FL, Joseph and wife Debbie Walsh of Sulphur, LA, Shawn and wife Unja Walsh of Fullerton, CA, Cathy and husband Jeff Bailey, Robert Sams Jr, Brenda and husband Rick Leachman. Grandchildren: Joshua, Andrew, Amie, Jason, Trae, Dustin, Lindsey, Shyla, Derrek, Eric, Ellen, Kelly and Leah.  Great grandchildren: Max, Jackson, Aubrie, Noah, Jackson, Carson, Derrek, Dylan, Zane, and Kennedy.

She is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Virginia and husband Raymond Dobbins, Rita Albert, Charles and wife Patricia Thompson, Carol Hulmes and Lawrence Thompson as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service officiated by Pastor Bradley List and Pastor Brett Brooks will be held on Friday, July 10 at 11: AM at Bethel United Methodist Church in Franklin, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, Bethel Church Road, Franklin, NC.  Another Celebration of Life Service will be held in Venice, FL at a date to be determined.
