P. M. "Sonny" Taylor

P.M. "Sonny" Taylor, 88, of Franklin, NC formerly of Fruitland Park, FL, passed away October 17, 2023.  He was born November 18, 1934, in Lauderdale County, Mississippi to the late Purvis Taylor and Margaret Edna Covenington Raley.

Mr. Taylor was a retired Florida State Trooper and a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War.  He attended Community Baptist Church.  He loved his family, friends and his dogs, he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Taylor; a daughter, Cindy Taylor Jones (Ronnie) of Fruitland Park, FL; a son, Lynne Taylor (Teresa) of Waynesboro, TN; a grandson, Mitchell Taylor of Leesburg, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Charlie Raley

 A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 11:00 am at Community Baptist Church, with Rev. James Greer officiating.
