My deepest sympathies to all of Ms. Stamey's family and friends. I knew her both as a student at Cullasaja Elementary and as a neighbor in Ellijay, and always found her to be wise, kind and helpful. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mrs. Stacey. She taught with my mother, Mattie Keener, for many years at Cullasaja. She was a beautiful, intelligent and caring woman. I'm sure I wasn't the only young girl at Cullasaja that loved, admired and looked to her as a role model. Sending your family my prayers and comfort in the knowledge that she touched so many lives in such a loving and positive way. Janice

I would like to express my condolences to all of the Stamey family. Ms. Stamey was a wonderful woman and I am sure she is now enjoying all the beauty of heaven, being reunited with loved ones and most of all being in the presence of the Lord. Ms. Stamey was a close family friend and my teacher I remember she was always telling how important it was to speak proper English she would not let me use anything, but proper English in her class some years later I realized that she was right about the importance of speaking properly. She really cared about students, was very kind and always wanting to help us understand what she was teaching. She also taught me a lot about manners and proper conduct for a young man you could not get away with misbehaving in class she was firm and always fair. The values and discipline she taught me are something that is really needed in today’s world and I am thankful that she was my teacher and friend.

To the family, my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. As you cope with your loss, may you be comforted by the "Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort" (2 Cor 1:3) that one day, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." (John 5:28, 29) May these promises from our Heavenly Father give you hope. Deepest sympathy.

Becky, Sonji, and Dennis I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was my sixth grade teacher at Iotla Elementary in 1964. I loved hearing about her time in Alaska. She was such a sweet and lovely lady. May God wrap you all in a blanket of strength and peace. May God help you find comfort. My daddy and my sister died three years ago. I still miss them very much. My mama played basketball with your mom on the first basketball team for women at Franklin High School. Loved your mama and love to you.

Our prayers are with all of your families. Hazel was a very special friend, neighbor, and cousin. The older Battle Branch Corbins grew up with the Stamey boys and and the Moses kids - then a generation later, Connie and I grew up with you and were especially blessed to have your Mom in our lives.
With love from all of our family,
Connie & David
