My heart is so sad this morning, I've been out of town for a week, I just read of Charles passing, I thought the world of him and Dot, I have known the family for years but just got to know Charles while working part time at Ace Hardware, I so enjoyed his visits with us, always a gentleman, he brought us apples one day after a trip down to a orchard, he made sure we all had the same amount, my prayers are with you all. I know too how much he loved his little dog. He is working in Heaven right now

Aunt Dot, our prayers are with you and your family. John and I will always cherish our time with uncle Charles. Anytime we play Bid Wiz John brags about the time he and uncle Charles ran a "Boston" together. I feel that's John's "crowning" moment. It makes us laugh, smile and reminiscence over the good times. We thank God for allowing us the precious time we had on this earth with our wonderful uncle! RIP Uncle Charles Gibson.

I got to know Mr. Gibson as Tracy and I grew up together. I always thought of him as a kind, smart and hard working family man. Later in life he built furniture for me. He was an expert at attention to details. I had some long conversations with him about many things, and you could tell he was an "old soul" full of wisdom. This saddens me to hear of his passing. My prayers go out to all the extended Gibson family. He will be sorely missed.

I got to know Mr. Gibson several years ago from Dr. King's office in Clayton. He was such a kind and caring person. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

It is with a heavy heart I come to this site to send our condolences. I was very close to Charles and often played Bid Whiz together and just like everything else he did, was very good at it. Every time I sit or glance at the beautiful dining table he made for me I think of him. He was a wonderful brother-in law and a very supportive husband for my sister Dot and his family.

No words can ever express the loss you must be feeling at this time. Cherish your good times, allow yourselves time to grieve and may the Lord uphold you with His right hand during the days, weeks, and months ahead. Always remember this, a person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on.

Sincere Sympathy,
Uncle Howard and Aunt Edna

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I only met him twice at your house and the last time I saw him he wasn't feeling very well, however He was a perfect gentleman!
I recall walking toward the door to go out at the same time he was also going out the door and I stopped to let him go first to make sure he got out safely and he said " no! You go out first." I said to myself "Prefect Gentleman". I know he will be greatly missed!
I love you Beverly and I will keep you and your family in my prayers.🙏🏾

What a wonderful man, so dear friend to our father (more like a brother). He loved us and helped us on more than one occasion.
I am sure Heaven is sweeter and we wish the family peace and comfort.

Mr. Gibson (as I called him) worked a lot for my Dad (Branson Barrett) building cabinets, laying blocks, bricks and whatever else was needed. He layed the brick for the fireplace in my home and I think of him every time I look at it. He was a very wise man, often talked with me about what he had read in some newspaper (Wallstreet Journal, and many others). I certainly appreciated his mastered skills and you are very lucky to have called him Dad. My deepest sympathy to all. Dale

The world will truly miss this man of strength, character and wisdom. A quiet man but well liked, charitable and devoted to his family. Death is often sudden and devastating, yet we are reminded of the love and devotion of this man who left us too soon. He was a devoted husband, a devoted father and a caring family man who will be greatly missed. God bless you, Charles Gibson. Rest easy. Your work in this world is done!
